Mega Picture, Mega Event

Here is a photo taken using a  device called Giga-pan created by the Carnegie Mellon University and a canon G10 camera. The total number of photos clicked and integrated to make a complete picture was higher than 200 & it took a professional more 7 hours to process the complete image. The size of the image is over 2GB and is prohibitive for download.

This post is specifically for all the photo buff’s, world over President Obama’s swearing ceremony was noted, but rarely somebody has put in such a staggering effort.

Alas I could not download and paste the photo, but I hope the link will suffice the most hardcore photo buff.
